✉ MEXICO. Ed. 7 (2). 1862 (5 enero). OCUPACIÓN ESPAÑOLA EN MÉXICO. Carta circulada desde CAMPECHE a BARCELONA encaminada hasta la Habana por SANTOS VILLAVERDE (marca en el frente) y allí franqueada con dos sellos de 1/2 real de Antillas. Muy rara, circulada durante el período de Ocupación de México por las tropas del General Prim que duró de enero a marzo de 1862.

Entire letter written from Guadalajara and mailed from Mexico City with vertical strip of three Mexico District 1861 1r. black on green to Madrid (Cortina correspondence); via British P.O. in Vera Cruz (May 2), London (May 28) and arrival cds also on reverse (June 1), charged 12 reales due in red. A remarkable and rare entire. Signed Todd. Certificate MEPSI. Scott 7.

✉ MEXICO. Sc. 7, 8, 10. 1861. Vera Cruz District 1 r. black on green, 2 r. black on rose and 4 r. red on yellow, ample to large margins all round, used on 1863 cover from VERA CRUZ to MEXICO CITY tied by two strikes of the Mexico City network handstamp in black on arrival. A RARE and attractive franking. Cert. MEPSI.

✉ MEXICO. 1873. TAMPILO a VERAZCRUZ. Circulada con sello de 25 ctvos. rojo y sello británico de 4 d. naranja, pl. 13 mat. C63 y fechador de doble círculo de la B.P.O. TAMPILO. MUY RARA. La mayoría de cartas conocidas llevan un sello mexicano de 12 ctvos. azul, la combinación con el sello de 25 ctvos. es muy rara (doble porte).

Oustanding collection of 2 anna shades, anile carmine, brown red, venetian red, lavender, lilac, grey black, rosy-mauve, purple, maroon, chocolate, etc. most with tete-beche pairs and pin perf. also some block, all with telegraphic cancellations. Several hundred stamps, the majories in fine condition (see web).

✉ HOLANDA. 1869 (April 29). Cover from Amsterdam to St. Petersburg/Russia bearing 1867 5c. blue and two 10c. carmine, red Amsterdam despatch cds at left. Blue crayon ´Wfr 2´ and red crayon ´3´ rate credits on front; reverse with ´Emmerich/Offenhausen´ transit. An unusual destination. Scott 7,8.
