✉ PANAMA. 1874 (March 27). Entire letter on ´Hamburg-Amerikanische´ stationery, some tropicalisation, used from Colon to Buenaventura franked by Colombia imperforate 1868 10c. lilac and very scarce usage of 1870 5c. orange yellow tied by serrated ´PANAMA´ oval handstamp. An extremely rare cover.

✉ PANAMA. Sc. 185. 1880. Cover from British Vice-Consul in COLON with blue cachet at left and on reverse, franked by USA Taylor 1879 5c. blue, two horizontal pairs, all tied in transit by NEW YORK /1 duplexes in black (May 20). London / Paid arrival cds on front (May 31) in red. Some envelope faults but scarce.

Tasada a la llegada con ´30´, al dorso llegada a París (21-Mar). Sobre levemente reducido al dorso. MUY RARO.

✉ PERU. 1840 (Sept 4). Entire letter written from CALLAO (Peru) to LONDON, carried outside of the mail system and posted on arrival in Liverpool with 1840 1d. black tied by red MALTESE CROSS. Reverse with Liverpool cds. The earliest known cover from Peru bearing an adhesive postage stamp. RARE and unique. Cert. BPA.

✉ PERU. 1858 (Aug 6). Large part entire letter to France franked by 1858 1d. deep blue with four margins and tied by black datestamp. British P.O. ´Arica´ double arc cds alongside, reverse with London (Oct 15) transit cds in red and struck there with ´GB/2F 87½´ Accountancy marking in black. Montpellier arrival cds on reverse. A fine early usage. SG 3b.

✉ PERU. Yv. 8. 1863 (24 Nov.). GUADALUPE (norte del Perú) a LIMA. Carta circulada sin sellos (probablemente por carecer de ellos) con la indicación manuscrita ´por vapor´. A la llegada la carta fue tasada con ´1´ (dinero) pagados con sello de 1 dinero rosa matasellado con la PARRILLA EN AZUL de Lima. RARÍSIMA, único caso que conocemos del pago de la tasa con sello de correos en este período. Cert. B. MOORHOUSE.

Cover to RICHMOND, MAINE, USA bearing combination franking of Peru 5 c. pair and Great Britain 1873-80 1/- plate 13, each tied by different cork cancels, at left OPERA GLASSES New York Due 5 CENTS datestamp, reverse with unclear CALLAO cds, fine and attractive. A very rare use of a GB stamp with peruvian cancel.

✉ FILIPINAS. 1842. Opium War. Entire letter from MADRID to MANILA with Madrid cds and FRANCO in red; addressed to one Ernest Mouchy on board the corvette ´La Favorite´ att Manila. Struck on arrival with superb oval framed FILIPINAS / Marzo 31 1843 handstamp in black. Readdressed to Batavia with oval ANJER / ZEEBRIEF unpaid handstamp in black and charged ´60´ cents due upon receipted - also docketed ´Deboursé le 10th Avril´ in manuscript at right. One of very few known entires documenting the French Naval presence during the Opium War 1840-42 period. An attractive and VERY RARE entire.
