✉ SALVADOR. 1912 (April 30). Surcharged 1c. on 2c. green postal stationery card used from Citala to New York and up-rated with 1912 2c. black & brown (2). Stationery card apparently unaccepted as pre-payment and taxed in USA with 1c. Postage Due (May 15). An unusual and attractive card. Scott 403.

✉ SUECIA. 1870 (Jan 1). Entire letter at 28 öre rate to Tavastehus, Finland franked by 1858 5ö green (with plate flaw), 1862-69 3ö bistre and 20ö red all tied by Stockholm cds´s. Framed ´Franco´ at right and ´Ank´ arrival marking. A scarce and attractive cover. Witschi certificate. Michel 7a,14,16a.

Entire letter from WASHINGTON DC- the ´Second Bulletin Sanitaire´ concerning and epidemic in Charleston SC, addressed to the Public Health Officer in MARSEILLE, with manuscript ´French Consulate General-Post Paid´ and ´via New York, Havre Packet´. Struck with Washington cds (Sept 11), straight line PAID and two line COLONIES PAR-LE HAVRE with all markings in red. A fine entire.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. 1852 (Sept 26). Entire letter from NEW YORK to BORDEAUX (France) bearing 1851-57 3c. red-brown (2) imperforate cancelled in black; red NEW ORLEANS/LA despatch cds at left. Charged with handstruck ´13´ decime due mark in black on arrival. Reverse with London transit cds, and Bordeaux and Tarbes cds´s (Oct 21). Scott 11.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Sc. 69, 71. 1863 (May 6). Cover from CHARLESTOWN (Mississippi) to US Consul in ROME via Boston (May 9) and England, franked by USA 12 cents black and 30 cents orange with corresponding PAID 42 at left in red. Probably carried by Cunard "Europa" with red British credit "36" cents. CIVITAVECCHIA-DALLA VIA DI MARE in black well struck on front of scarce cover mailed during the US Civil War.

Cover and complete origina1 contents from New York to Paris franked by scarce usage of top marginal vertical pair of 1870 2c red brown tied by cork cancels and by Calais entry marking. Fine strike of ´GB-40c´ Anglo-French Accountancy marking in black and charged 5 decimes due on receipt. London transit on reverse (July 30) in red. Scott 146. Cert. PF´2002.
