✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Ed. . 1892 (Jan 18). Wreck cover being 2 c. green stationery envelope with adhesives floated off, used from PIPESTONE, MN to FRANKFURT, Germany with two line cachet in German FRANKIRTER BRIEF AUS/GESTRANDETEM D.EIDER GERBORGEN. The Eider was a North German Lloyd steamer which ran aground off the Isle of Wight on 1st of February in transit to Southampton. See Hopkins ´Wreck Covers´ pages 37-39.

✉ ESTADOS UNIDOS. Ed. . 1950 (Sept 2). Wreck cover to SEATTLE without adhesives due to water damage on first flight Boston-Cologne cover, returned from Cologne and label applied POST OFFICE-NEW YORK. The accompanying article was damaged by water during a storm encountered at sea by the S.S. Liberte which arrived New York, September 12th 1950. Unusual cover and unrecorded by Hopkins.
