✉ PUERTO RICO. 1841. SAN JUAN a MADRID. Carta depositada directamente al barco y con la marca estampada a la llegada a España CADIZ y llegada a Madrid JLIO 9 y tasa de ´9´ reales. Muy rara, a la correspondencia llegada de las Antillas se les estampaba la marca YNDIAS o ISLAS DE BARLOVENTO. Es la primera vez que vemos una carta procedente de Puerto Rico con esta marca.

La carta fue tasada con ´4´ (reales) a la llegada a España. Muy raro el pago de los portes del correo Inglés en efectivo, normalmente se usaban los sellos ingleses de los que disponia la Agencia de S. Juan.

PARRILLA COLONIAL y fechador PUERTO RICO /*. Magnífico y muy raro franqueo mixto de dos emisiones. Cert. COMEX.

Complete Printed Prices Current, small spike file hole, used from SAN JUAN to LONDON (Canada) franked by Great Britain 1d. red pl. 175 tied by C61 obliterator in black. PORTO RICO British P.O. cds at left (with ´4´ in ´74´ inverted). Very rare destination. SG Z84.

MAYAGUEZ PORTO RICO/PAID cds at lower left in black and London transit cds in red. Slight creasing but a scarce entire.

✉ RUSIA. 1870. BERDIANSK to GENOVA. Via Odessa, taxed on arrival with two italian stamps of 50 cts.

✉ RUSIA. Sc. 19, 20, 28. 1876. Cover from ROSTOV to MEERUT (India) franked on front and back of cover with 1866-70 1k. black & deep yellow (3), 3k. black & green and 1875-82 8k. grey & red (2) all tied by ROSTOV cds in black. Reverse with nine datestamps including ´Sea Post Office-F´ (Sept 22) and Meerut arrival cds (Oct 8). A charming and rare cover to a most unusual destination.

✉ RUSIA. 1888 (Aug 25). Cover to Berlin franked by 1880 20 pf. blue tied by SARATOV (Russia) cds. Repeated strike below and arrival on reverse of an unusual cover. Slight toning around perfs. of stamp, nevertheless rare. Scott 40.

Small envelope to FRANCE franked by Russian Levant 1872 3k. green (Mi. 7) and Russia 3k. black & green and 10k. blue & brown all cancelled by CONSTANTINOPLE  datestamps in blue and by light Odessa transit. ERQUELINES-PARIS entry marking in blue (Jan 18, 1875 gregorian) and Lyon cds on reverse. A dramatic and extremely rare mixed franking.
