✉ MALAYA. 1853 (March 15). Entire letter written form PENANG (Jan 3, 1853) sent privately to FRANCE and mailed from PARIS to BESANÇON: struck with PARIS-25c. prepaid datestamp in black on front, reverse with Besançon arrival cds. RARE and most unusual wntire. Opinion Holcombe.

Melbourne, Singapore´ on reverse; struck with two very fine strikes of circular LIGNE N-PAQ. FR. No. 5 Paquebot datestamp in black. St. Gallen arrival cds at left (Feb 19). A fine and scarce usage.
