✉ CHINA. (1864 CA). Cover with embossed flap on reverse "Station Navale Des Mers De Chine/Commandant en Chef" mailed to Paris and endorsed 'Via Suez' on front. Cover franked by 1862 10c. bistre (scissors cut) tied by Paris Star in red with red cds (May 27) alongside. A delightful and rare item. Ceres 21.

(2) and 20 cts. french stamp to complete a postage of 25 cts. single rate to France tied with TRESOR ET POSTES AUX ARMEES/CHINE, manuscript ´Corps Expeditionnaire de Chine´, arrival cds on back. Very rare franking combination, probably unique known.

Picture post card from LOFAO near Tonghing (China) cancelled by TONGHING CHINE/P&I POSTE MONCAY TONKIN in red routed west via Indo-China bearing Indo-China Yvert 44, 5 cents green tied by MONCAY TONKIN double ring routed via Haiphong with BESANCON arrival. The mail was posted in China and cancelled by the Post Local cachet and forwarded via the Indo-China post as the most convenient route to France.

Entire letter-interesting contents as ´Bogota Diary-this day General Santander died and description of his funeral on the 13th,the Pacification of Pasto-it seems little more than a truce obtained by Orlando... as apostle of General Sucre. Renewed disturbances´ and endorsed to LONDON per British Packet. The entire was sent via JAMAICA with manuscript ´Fwd´d 22 June 1840´ with outstanding KINGSTON cds on reverse (June 27) and LONDON arrival on reverse (Aug 9). On arrival in FALMOUTH a superb strike of the CARTHAGENA Fleuron handstamp in red applied on front and rated 4 s. 1 d. Truly delightful and historic cover.

Atello' and struck on front with oval SANTA MARTA / DEBE with '1½' reales rate mark in blue. Fine entire that open well for display.

Atlas Line" franqueado con sello U.S. de 2 ctvos. castaño (Sc. 157) con mat. de corcho y fechador de New York matasellando el sello Colombiano. Combinación RARÍSIMA, única que conocemos.
