✉ AFRICA ORIENTAL ALEMANA. 1908. TANGA to ST. GALLEN (Switzerland) 1 an. red postal stationary card of East Africa tied with TANGA/DEUTSCHE-OSTAFRIKA cds uprated with German 10 pf. stamp with DEUTSCHE SEEPOST/OST-AFRIKA-LINIE. Fine and interesting usage.

✉ MARRUECOS ALEMAN. 1898 (July 15). Cover from MAZAGAN to BREMEN with toned 20pf. ultramarine tied by oval DEUTSCHE SEEPOST-LINIE-HAMBURG/WESTAFRIKA-XIII datestamps in black. Manuscript ship endorsement at top and reverse with Bremen arrival cds (July 23). Faults but scarce usage. Signed Bothe BPP.

Registered cover to BERNBURG franked by Gothic 1906 3cs. on 3pf. ochre and very scarce 1p. on 80pf. deep red and black on pale carmine paper tied by TANGER-(MAROKKO)-b-DEUTSCHE POST cds´s in black. Registered label at left and reverse with arrival cds (July 12). A fine and rare cover. Michel 34,42.

✉ MARRUECOS ALEMAN. 1911 (March 5). TANGIER. Germania 5pf.+5pf. green reply postal stationery cards used to and from GERMANY to TANGIER and back; cancelled on despatch in black and on arrival by TANGER-(MAROCCO)-DEUTCHE POST cds of receipt (March 10) and immediately re-sent on same day with same cds. Scarce and unusual usage. Michel P7.

For 1 Ounce), design in yellow-buff on wove paper with silk threads, with ´London District Post´ within woven design on reverse and ´Not To Exceed One Ounce´ at left and right, space left for address in centre. Slight fault on front panel but very rare: it was the adoption of John Dickinson´s scheme that was to lead to Penny Postage in 1840. A seldom seen item.

✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. 1842-52. BRITISH POST OFFICE. CADIZ (Spain). Two entire letters from Cádiz to Porto (Portugal) with fine B.C./CADIZ (2 different types) circular hardstamp in black. Framed P. BRITº and charged 120+40 reis. A nice pair.

✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. 1850(April 12th). Entire letter from Glasgow to Pictou, NOVA SCOTIA franked for internal rate only with 1841 1d red brown tied ´159´ obliterator, charged 1 shilling in manuscript with Glasgow cds and Victoria-NS arrival (May 2nd) on reverse in black. A fine entire. SG 8.

✉ GRAN BRETAÑA. 1857. Cover used to DUNOON bearing 1 d. red stars cancelled by the v. scarce GLENDARUEL local blue hs with backstamps of CAIRNDOW & DUNDOON. Back flap missing. Rare.

Entire letter dateline from MAISONNETTE (New Brunswick) struck on the reverse with italic NEWTON ABBOT/PENNY POST in black, prepaid 2/6d. in red ink and charged in manuscript on front in reis ´560+70=630´ due. Oval Lisbon arrival in black (28/8) also on front of fine entire. Rare destination at this time.

✉ CANADA. 1842 (Sept.19). Entire letter from NORFOLK, Canada (contents mention Port Royal) addressed to LURI, Corsica with two strikes of red entry marking OUTRE-MER/CETTE with Month in Date inverted error, black VIA DI NIZZA and SARDAIGNE-ANTIBES in red, BASTIA arrival datestamp (Dec 11).

✉ CANADA. 1857. Cover from MONTREAL, sent to England aboard the Cunard steamship Niagara, and forwarded to France with scarce GB/2F40c accountancy marking (Salles 3041.used only in 1857). Front shows MONTREAL datestamp, ANGL/AMB.CALAIS french entry, plus ´20´ decimes postage due handstamp. Reverse bears (red) LONDON and PARIS transits, plus COGNAC arrival datestamps. A fine and scarce transatlantic cover.

✉ CANADA. 1872 (Dec 21). Cover to Philadelphia franked by pair of Small Queen 1868-90 3c. brown-red tied by dotted cork cancellations in black with Ottawa cds of dispatch below. Reverse with Philadelphia arrival cds. A fresh and fine cover.

✉ CANADA. 1888 (Aug). Mourning cover from New South Wales to Ontario, Canada franked by 6d violet tied in black. On arrival the cover was readdressed and mailed on to Battlecreek, USA franked by pair of Small Queens 3c orange red, overlapping the original adhesive. Ontario cds on front and reverse with five transit cds´s. An unusual combination.
