Bangkok cds at left and transit of Victoria-Hong Kong alongside (Dec 28). An unusual and attractive usage. Scott 76.

✉ TAILANDIA. 1936. PUNGAH (West Siam) to LONDON. AIR MAIL. Large envelope initially franked with 10 stamps (4 on reverse) of the 15 sat. blue. Instead of being posted the letter was brought down to Penang. Stamps of Thailand were not recognised and franked with Straits Settlements 25 cts. and 1$ stamps. An interesting cover.

Struck with Washington cds (Sept 11), straight line PAID and two line COLONIES PAR-LE HAVRE with all markings in red. A fine entire.

Probably carried by Cunard "Europa" with red British credit "36" cents. CIVITAVECCHIA-DALLA VIA DI MARE in black well struck on front of scarce cover mailed during the US Civil War.
