✉ MEXICO. 1811 (27-Oct.). Frente de carta Certificada circulada de TEHUACAN a MEXICO. Marcas FRANCO/LERMA y rúbrica y CERTIFICACION A TEHUACAN/SALIO EN... aspas manuscritas en las esquinas y también manuscrito ´Pago 4 reales de los portes en Plata´. MAGNÍFICA y EXTRAORDINARIAMENTE RARA.

✉ MEXICO. 1818 (14-Feb.). MERIDA a MADRID. Marca PROVINCIA/DE YUCATAN en negro y tasa de 7 reales estampada a la llegada. Rarísima carta trasatlántica desde la Península del Yucatán durante el Período Colonial Español.

✉ MEXICO. 1820 (22-Enero). ALTIMIRA a VERACRUZ. Marca lineal ALTIMIRA en rojo. RARÍSIMA.

✉ MEXICO. 1820 (17-Mayo). S. LUIS a VERACRUZ. Marca S. LUIS POTOSI (nº 5) en negro. MAGNÍFICA y RARA.

✉ MEXICO. 1821 (14-Oct.). YANHUITLAN a OAXACA. Marca FRANCO EN / YANHUITLAN en negro. Carta completa, falta parte del anverso en la parte derecha. Excepcional estampación, extraordinariamente rara. Ex. Bash.

✉ MEXICO. 1829. EXPEDICIÓN ESPAÑOLA A MÉXICO. Carta escrita a bordo de la Fragata "Encarnación" en el puerto de La Habana el 7 de Marzo de 1830 por el soldado español Miguel Vigo a su hermana en Ciudadela (Islas Baleares). Marca lineal HABANA en negro y tasa "6 R" estampada en España. En la carta, el soldado relata con detalle la expedición, que dice contaba con 3.500 hombres, así como la toma del puerto de Tampico y de la ciudad de Tamaulipas y la posterior capitulación. En la expedición, según cuenta la carta, se perdieron 1.000 hombres y costó 700.000 pesos. PIEZA EXCEPCIONAL DE GRAN INTERÉS HISTÓRICO, única carta conocida de esta desdichada expedición militar para la reconquista de México. Nota: En 1822, se consolida la Independencia de México, Iturbide fue proclamado Emperador y abdicó en 1823 ante el triunfo del Republicanismo Liberal. En 1827, la conspiración del Padre Arenas, ocasionó varias ejecuciones y la expulsión parcial de los españoles, que fue total en Marzo de 1829. España, creyendo fácil la reconquista por el desorden político, envió una expedición desde Cuba al mando de Isidro Barradas, que desmbarcó en Tampico el 27-VII-1829, pero tuvo que capitular el 11-IX-1829 ante el General Santa Ana. Las tropas españolas volvieron a La Habana y España reconoció, finalmente, la Independencia de México en 1836. Cert. COMEX.

✉ MEXICO. 1829(Nov 14). Entire letter from Mexico City to Belfast, endorsed at lower left ´Per Pelican Pkt´ with faint red ´Hasta El Puerto´ on front and reverse with outstanding strike in green of the Falmouth MEXICO Fleuron postmark, arrival in red (January 20th 1830). Displays well and a rare entire.

✉ MEXICO. 1849. MEXICO a HABANA. Encaminada hasta Veracruz y depositada al correo inglés, marca PAID/AT/VERACRUZ y tarifa manuscrita ´2/-´. Marca de entrada en La Habana EMPRESA/YNDIAS y tasa 4 reales ambas en amarillo. Muy rara combinación.

✉ MEXICO. 1865. MADRID a PUERTO DE MATAMORPOS. Circulada con cuatro sellos de 2 reales gris, doble porte por la vía de Inglaterra. La carta fue desembarcada en Veracruz donde fue tasada por el correo mexicano con ´2´ (reales) para el pago del porte interno de Veracruz a Matamoros. El correo mexicano entregó la carta al correo francés en Tampico pagando un sello francés de 40 cts. (desgraciadamente el sello original ha sido arrancado de la carta y se ha sustituido por otro por motivos estéticos), con mat. ANCLA y fechador octogonal de correo marítimo francés TAMPICO/*, pese a faltarle el sello, pieza excepcional y de extraordinaria rareza.

✉ MEXICO. 1861. MEXICO a S. LUIS POTOSI. 4 reales carmín y 8 reales lila. Magnífico y muy raro franqueo.

✉ MEXICO. Ed. 7 (2). 1862 (5 enero). OCUPACIÓN ESPAÑOLA EN MÉXICO. Carta circulada desde CAMPECHE a BARCELONA encaminada hasta la Habana por SANTOS VILLAVERDE (marca en el frente) y allí franqueada con dos sellos de 1/2 real de Antillas. Muy rara, circulada durante el período de Ocupación de México por las tropas del General Prim que duró de enero a marzo de 1862.

Entire letter written from Guadalajara and mailed from Mexico City with vertical strip of three Mexico District 1861 1r. black on green to Madrid (Cortina correspondence); via British P.O. in Vera Cruz (May 2), London (May 28) and arrival cds also on reverse (June 1), charged 12 reales due in red. A remarkable and rare entire. Signed Todd. Certificate MEPSI. Scott 7.

Vera Cruz District 1 r. black on green, 2 r. black on rose and 4 r. red on yellow, ample to large margins all round, used on 1863 cover from VERA CRUZ to MEXICO CITY tied by two strikes of the Mexico City network handstamp in black on arrival. La mayoría de cartas conocidas llevan un sello mexicano de 12 ctvos. azul, la combinación con el sello de 25 ctvos. es muy rara (doble porte).
