Carta enviada al Marqués de Langeron, Mariscal de Campo de Louis XV narrando los combates contra las tropas portuguesas en Villa Velha de Rodao, fechada en ´Au Camp de Sarzedas´ (cerca de Castelo Branco). Marca ARMEE D´ESPAGNE y porte manuscrito de 24 sous. Extraordinariamente rara.

✉ PORTUGAL. 1813 (14 Nov.). OPORTO al Mayor General Pack (Comandante de la Brigada de Oporto del Ejército Portugués en España) en el Ejército del Mariscal Duque de la Victoria. Carta con indicación manuscrita ´Hespanha´ y ´Exercito´ y marca lineal PORTO en negro. Primera vez que vemos una carta dirigida a un miembro del Ejército Portugués que combatió junto a Ingleses y Españoles contra el Ejército de Napoleón en España.

Revesre with London red transit cds (Nov 18) and Georgetown-British Guiana arrival (Dec 23). File fold away from adhesive but a remarkably rare destination. Scott 43.

Further strike at left and manuscript charge ´40pf´ due double the deficiency. A scarce and appealing cover. Scott 48.
